Credentialing Support — Providers who plan on becoming contracted with insurance companies or who already are contracted need to have a current set of credentials, resume and CAQH profile. HMBS will assist in keeping your information accurate and up-to-date. When your CAQH profile is current you are sending a message to the insurance companies that you are a trusted provider, how to contact you and where you can be found. Insurance payers use your CAQH info to keep their own data current and to refer new patients to your practice.
Credentialing Maintenance - Opting in on this service allows HMBS to respond to any and all insurance company requests for updated information on a regular basis. Many insurance companies and CAQH.org send required quarterly requests to attest that your information is still accurate and HMBS will step in and respond to these requests on your behalf and submit or upload any updated documents required.
Contracting & Network Participation
Available exclusively to new and existing clients who enroll in our billing services, this offering can help communicate your interest in joining insurance networks, enrolling for the first time, updating your credentials or practice information, and ending existing enrollments when needed.
New enrollment requests are reviewed and approved by each insurance company based on its network needs and any requirements set by the managed care organization or government agency. Participation may help increase your visibility to prospective patients and establish you as an in-network preferred provider, with negotiated reimbursement rates where available.
